Why I choose Powder Brows VS Microblading
Microblading technique is super popular these days and I have been asked many times whether I perform this service. The answer is “no”. I am somewhat opposed to this method and one of the reasons is High trauma.
Microblading is a manual tattooing method where incisions are made with a special blade to simulate hair strands, which are then filled with pigment.
Unlike machine-based permanent makeup, where pigment is inserted into the skin through small punctures creating soft powder-like effect, microblading actually cuts the surface of the skin. Hair follicle can be damaged during the process.
Tissue scarring occurs because the procedure performed only once, and after healing, this cuts (the so-called “ hairs”) form scars on the skin. Those “hairs” can be clearly seen when the pigment partially or completely fades. And it is not possible to predict how the pigment will behave on micro-scars if you try to do a touch up.
Powder/ombre brows technique is totally safe for your skin if done with skilled and experienced technician. Brows done with this technique will last a longer time. Less frequent touch-ups mean bang for your buck. There is no scarring with this method like with microblading. Even if you have oily thing skin with large pores or mature skin, powder brows is a better choice for you.
So, once you have chosen me for any of your permanent makeup treatment, you can be sure that you are in safe hands and you will get the most realistic and natural looking brows/lips lash line after healing.
